What a day!

Many thanks to the students and staff that turned out to kick off our semester in the Community Garden this weekend! We have begun the process of cleaning up the garden, we planted fall seeds, we harvested vegetables and fruits, and we threw a bunch on the grills and made a delicious paella!

What a turn out!

Forrest and ladies cleaning, rolling and storing the cold frame (greenhouse) cover. It won't be stored for long though, we will be raising our cold frame come late October!

It's not a pretty job but it is a VERY important job!

These lovely ladies are weeding the fence line of the garden to help us keep weeds out!

If we stay on top of the weeds we can have more fun in the garden doing what we want!

What a huge impact 10-15 minutes of weeding can make!

So many peppers!! Hot peppers, sweet peppers, red peppers, purple peppers!

So many options for yummy dishes with these jewels!

Harvesting cherry tomatoes and radishes

What to do with all the veggies?!

Cutting veggies for skewers and paella!

Snacking, preparing, and patiently waiting for the goodies from grill!

Cooking the skewers, roasting the veggies, and waiting for the paella to be ready! Looking good!

It's Ready!! And it didn't last long! That paella was delish!

Garden fresh veggies to paella in a matter of minutes!
